Vinita Nair
The journalist joined ABC News in July 2004, and has reported on many aspects, such as investigations like the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings near Bailey, Colorado. Nair became an ABC News anchor/correspondent in December 2007 at ABC News Now. She was in charge of anchoring news live coverage and also briefings for ABC's network's digital platforms. Nair anchors World News Now on ABC beginning on September 17th the 17th of September, 2008. until the 18th of February, 2011, as well as America This Morning. She co-hosted with Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson in both shows. Nair made it clear to viewers on World News Now that she would not be appearing in World News Now after Friday 18th of February 2011. The same day would also mark her last day with ABC News. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver was her immediate successor. The February 18 edition of World News Now paid tribute to Nair in each of its three segments, including appearances by current and former coworkers, such as Jeremy Hubbard. Her last morning the crew was treated by Nair with a tasty breakfast.
