Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Her signature spiky blonde hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals straightforward, simple techniques to master for the at-home cook in her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was a student and worked at the top New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. Growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking from a young age. She pursued her love of the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful experience for me. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was an excellent location to learn. When I graduated from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate the Italian way of life and its culture and this has left an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell participates on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of children who are struggling. She also is an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate, where she promotes awareness of juvenile diabetics. As an inspirational speaker, she is on the road to speak about her passion for food and her culinary career. Anne often has mentioned throughout her culinary career that she feels so fortunate to be able share with others what is most important for her.
